Mentoring and Childrens Community Participation
Thrive provides youth mentoring to children and young people who would benefit from extra support and access to community activities. Children in foster care and children who access the NDIS benefit from increased community participation. Thrive provides youth mentors who assist children and young people enjoy activities that create increased social inclusion, such as day trips to local attractions, swimming pools, parks, beach days and crafts. Children can be supported to try new things like gymnastics, athletics, or dancing in their local communities.
Our youth mentors have been inducted and tranined to understand trauma and use evidence based therapuetic strategies such as Therapuetic Crisis Intervention (TCI). All staff have WWCC and NDIS worker checks, ongoing training and supverision.
